Gapping spark plugs..
Quick question:
When gapping a spark plug with that Big spark plug coin measurement thing, all you need to do is force the coin inbetween the firing tip right? I want to be sure this the right way of doing it before trying. I don't want to damage firing tip.

It depends a little bit on what kind of plug you are gapping... if it is platinum you need to be a little more careful. But yes, the general concept is to just wiggle the gapping disk up and down slightly and then turn it to to propper gap size. If you over gap it, just tap it on a firm smooth surface to close the gap a bit, and try again. Wiggling the gapper is a lot easier though than just trying to turn the ramp around.
well i dont like using the coin thingy for the simple fact that you can damage the firing tip if youre not careful, i would personally just use the coin as a measurement tool not as the actual gapping device, they make special tools to gap spark plugs which can be a little pricey, i just use some very thin needle nose pliers to gap mine and check it with feeler guages or something equivalent that will give you an accurate reading, but yeah if they are platinums be a little more careful
