question about irwidale speedway?
are there any regulars here that go to irwindale? is it pretty crowded? how many runs can i get in? ive been to fontana and it wasnt worth the drive, being that i only got 2 runs in
. and ive been to palmdale, but the elevation and the drive is just to long as well. ive searched and couldnt find my answer. i just want to get enough time to test, tune and practice. im planning to go on the 20th so let me know, thanks

When I go, I usually don't get there until about 7:30-8:00. It's pretty crowded. I'll typically get 2-3 runs in. A lot of nice cars show up to Irwindale, mostly V8's. Not a whole lot of quick imports though. I like Palmdale Wed nights because you get a ton of runs in, but Irwindale is only about 10 miles from where I live.

I used to go to Irwindale alot, and if you want to get the most runs in, go when they first open up. Tech is at 4:30 i think and racing starts at 5:30, if i remember correctly. If you are there early, you can get at least 5 runs or so, but once it gets later around like 8 or 9, you'll be sitting in line for like 20 minutes just to run or move up in line.
irwindale is Ok if you have to test out your car before a big event, good traction there.. or to get practice.. I got sick of running 1/8 mile so i havent been there in awhile.
