Default Soooo....How much $$$$ do u all have in your fi project car????

I am sure you all have sat around with a calculator before and added up all the hard earned dollars that have been dumped into your ride.....I personally have $6055.00 tied up in my current project...Count the other $4759.00 worth of parts that got carried over from previous cars, that brings the grand total for me up to $10814.00..........So, lets hear it phellas...

WARNING!!!!!Doing this may cause a few tears to your eyes!!!But it was all worth it........Right????

I'm rolling up on $5000 for everything, including the car itself. I'm about to go to my third engine/transmission/clutch/turbo/manifold combo, this incarnation even looks somewhat professional.

My boy Travis just dropped $12K on his, in addition to the $4000 he spent on his Integra, and should have it running by Tuesday or Wednesday. His feelings got kinda hurt when I pointed out midway through a $8K build that at 425 whp he'd have the power to weight of my CRX at 260 whp, so he dropped all sorts of money on a Quaife, some BFG drag radials that stick out of his wheel wells by 3", etc.

Nice.....Keep them comin....BTW, my total also includes the price of the car....The idea behind this was to see the 100% total investment...Cheaper the better imo, but I know some of you honda-tech gangstas have some serious $$$ wrapped up in your rides.....

Sometimes its not about how much you spend but if you did it right, how much fun you had, and how much you learned.

When I initially went to piece my kit, I intended on going the 'cheap boost' method, but as many of you know, the best intentioned plans rarely work out. I wanted to buy used parts whenever it was availiable or maybe a used pieced kit form Drag or Rev-Hard. But after a ton of researching and browsing other people's set-ups, I changed my mind big time and now buy everything new or to my own liking. Thanks alot you asses, I mean guys, for making me go deeper in debt. Heres the breakdown:

96 ek hatch with B18c completed= 12,000
LoveFab SST and downpipe used= 900
Garrett Gt28rs= 800
Greddy type 24 intercooler= 420
Apex'i Twin chamber bov= 120
Tial 38mm wastegate= 200
Hondata s200b and P28 and jumper harness= 500
Walboro pump= 100
AEM fpr= 40
piping, oil lines and fittings= 400

So far the running total plus the car is $15, 120.00 and I still need injectors, a fuel rail and tuning. Hell, it isn't even installed yet. God-dayum

I am not sure on the exact cost, but I have been working since I was 15, bought the car when I was 16, and now I'm 17. I bought the car for $7k, and at the time I had $3k saved. Within a few weeks that $3k was gone (I don't know how, but it was waisted on my car) And since then, I have probally added another $5k worth of parts. And I still didn't even buy my turbo parts yet!!!

i get depressed everytime i think about how much i have spent . after i wrecked my old turbo integra i wanted to build somethign that was complete from the motor , interior , to the exterior . since i knew i was going to take the car completely apart i didnt see any reason to go out and dump a **** load of money on a running car . i found a 98 gsr shell in a wrecking yard and picked that up . well that was almost 2 years ago !

some mods....
98 gsr shell - 1200
bodywork/ paint - 4000
oem metal jdm front endw/ hids - 2200
4x114 suspension w/ 16" Racing hart CP-Rs - 1000
DTR fab roll cage and traction bars - 1200
ApexN1 coilovers , ITR lcas - 850
Recaro srds - 1000
Spoon cluster -500 (bought that like 2 years ago )
there are more but i wont take up the whole thread..

motor....
98 b18c5 block - 500
GE sleeves - 750
crower rods - 650
84mm ross pistons - 550
z10 block girdle - 200
act flywheel - 200
act HEAVY duty clutch - 200
TODA timing belt - 150
Hasport mounts - 350
machine work - 350
01 ITR head - 500
rev valves , springs , retainers - 600 (bought like 2 years ago)
CBI race head - 600

thats around $17,000 that i have spent so far and im not done yet . also the price didnt include all the parts that i had to buy to complete it , for example....hatch , rear bumper , taillights , etc....i know i havent actually purchased a turbo kit yet but its all part of my turbo project

i jus wanna say thanks to all the people that have helped me out here on H-T

parts only including all motor parts before deciding to go turbo probly around 12-13k not including tires, slicks, brakes, suspension. With car and those parts probly around 20-22k more with labor.
