Default Not the answer I expected from a company

This is not a question about a product. I am receiving my built motor back from a guy in Cali. It is 9:1 compression and 83mm bore(lsvtec). He gave me your link for breaking it in. I seen something on here saying "You get a 13:1 compression 85 MM block on your GSR, no matter what, your stock injectors are not going to work...they will hit 100% duty cycle EARLY in the RPM band!".

-> My question is, I do have hondata. I will not be able to tune till I get it broken in. I have stock injectors right now with a walbro 255 fuel pump. Will that be ok for breaking in process?????? Later on I am going to get some Rc 750cc injectors. I cant put those in right now cause it will flood it with fuel. Thanks Rod

THen the reply from the company(importbuilders)

If you read the article, youll see that if you do it any other way than having a wideband on your car, the second you start the motor, your doing it wrong, and risk meltdown and a gambit of other problems. If you insist on that, turn your fuel pressure up to at least 60 PSI

I do not have a wideband on my car and no fuel pressure adjustable regulator or anything.

I am not being cheap. I can get the injectors, but i am asking about break in period with stock injectors. I have no way to control the big injectors , I will not be tuned.

you do have a way to control the larger Injectors -- hondata... send your ecu to your tuner to get an appropriate basemap burned on the rom for the exact setup you have .. this will allow you to break in your engine with the right injectors before going to the dyno..

... trust me -- don't run those stock injectors .

From what I heard and read the basemap is not all that. It will not screw me over during break in?

basemaps are whatever your tuner sets it at ... typically a little rich .. if your tuner knows what he is doing you wont wash your rings and simply run a little rich to be on the safe side

... Its a hell of alot safer then running on the stock map with stock injectors...
