Where the best place to get a motor swap in Nor Cali? I would do it myself but it took me forever to get my d16z6 into my 89 civic std. because of the wiring went bad and this was back when not very many people knew about swaps. I just don't have the time to get all everything I need to do it. I just want to get a cheap 88-89 civic std so i have the lightest hb with a b16a1 or 2 and b18a or b. Could someone tell me what's some of the best shops in nor cali or near sacramento that would do a swap in about a weekend and have good motors for decent prices. I don't want a motor on it's last legs. I know it's easier to do the swap with a b16a1 compared to a a2 but can't you take the a2 block and use a 90-93 integra distributor and a1 intake manifold? Just give me some of your experiences thanks.

How much would you sell me a set up for a b16a1 or b16a2 into a 88-91? Everything, complete long block, cable tranny, axles for a dx or std. (4-speed), ecu, all the stuff for a dual point to multi point fuel injection, ecu, mount kit, shift linkage, that's in good condition. Who would sell me a good COMPLETE changeover?

Swap = 1200
mount kit = 410
axles = get some reman or from a junk yard
wiring = 100


That is all you really need...some misc hoses and such. Let me know. I can put it in too.
