Default Why OBD1 HONDAS ARE GETTING STOLEN

I have a 92 hatchback DX, which is OBD1. Well,
tonight sitting in a local hangout spot,I was ****** around with another
friend who has a 93 Integra LS...the LS's **** was completely locked. I wanted to see under the hood so I goes jokingly to try and open the
door with my STOCK HATCHBACK KEY, and it goes...CLUNK. Opens the ******
door. Everybody in the whole parking lot flipped out.

Well guess what? I tried starting it and it turned over as well. Right
after this happened we tried the same hatchback key on a 96 Integra LS, the
one with the bubble headlights...and to our amazement same results. We've
come to the conclusion that some OBD1 keys will work with the same system in
other cars. Now the weird thing, THEIR KEYS will open mine, but not start it.
And in all instances the key can only open the driver's side door, and can't
open the trunk either. Some **** huh?

I say anybody with these cars get enough proof and go for a class action
lawsuit against honda's. Cuz i've heard ALOT of stories with people who have
these same year cars, locks, automated open systems, motion sensors, but
with stock door locks and their cars get stolen in 10 mins. or less and they
don't know what happened. Just something to ponder and wondering if anybody
has any occurences like this.

P.S. If you have these cars, until you can get your doorlocks switched...or
shaved or whatever, get it to where you can have the clutch switch wired to
a push button toggle switch somewhere else...so you don't have to push the
clutch in to start the car you have to push the push button switch somewhere
else. He already has done this on his car as a result of what we found out.
Just letting the people know what's up and since this is the only forum on
HT i post in just wanted to post it here. He will be copying and pasting
this into other forums as well.

TKS. for your time.

This is very true, but I for one did not know this, and I drove eg's and da Tegs for a long time. I guess security should be a much bigger issue...

umm are you saying this works on all obd1 cars?? cause that is what iam taking from the title of your post... but! a 96 LS is obd2 so your OBD1 thnig would then be wrong.. and i have hgeard a rumor that haonda only produced a few keys anyway.. supposedly there is a 1-10 chance that your key will work in someone eles car.. but who knows..

Everyone could shave their door locks or get custom made locks but I doubt that will happen so I say kill switches galore put them in places no one has ever thought of or dont buy a 92-95 honda
