what the hell kind of wheel are you running? 18*7.5's sound like they are not even made for the S2000!
even TE37's are 8.5" wide in the rear.......
get proper wheels if you are going to do it.

you can run 265/35s on the rear with that setup. That's what I'm running and I have 18 *7.5. Scot...not many wheels are made for one particular car. If you find the size and offset you need then you can use it. it doesn't have to be made with the S2000 specifically in mind. I run 4 18*7.5s on the street, but run stock 16's on the track for weight and handling purposes.
Ive seen a 315 on a 9 inch rim. Sure it will buldge pretty bad, and people will tell you it wont fit, but it will. But as for the S2000, the biggest that I have heard of that people dont have problems with is 265's. I believe once you go bigger you will need to buy spacers. Anyways, I see no reason for any tire bigger then a 265 on the rear. I have 245's and they hook just fine. My friend with a S/C s2k has the same 245's and the still hook just fine. Unless you are just doing it for the "looks" of the big tire.. I see no reason to go past the 265.
Also to answer your question. A 265 will fit on that rim without any trouble. It will buldge a little bit, but I assure you it will fit. I would recommend a 245/255 if you dont wany any buldging tho.
I have a 01 s2k with 19x10's in the rear and 19x8's in the front, (and they dont rub) roja custom made the wheels in 3 weeks, I will try to put up a picture on my website in a couple of days (alternativemotorsports.com), I have road raced the car and they still don't rub even lock to lock, and they look tight from the rear, and don't stick out. Price was about $1950.00 for the whole set with shipping

So do you know of some wider or bigger wheels that wont rub, and you don't have to modify?? If so let me know and I will check them out

You do have to modify & roll the fenders for some fitments.
Also, you can fit 18x9's up front... but even at 8.5" wide, you'll probably need coilovers to increase the available room down there.

don't take this as bashing but...
- what are you talking about?
- why do you claim what you claim?
- what kind of driving are you talking about?
- for which wheel?
please back up your blanket statements that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
