well I don't have times but I can say that the K20a2 will react to mods better then a K20a3. I've heard of high 13s but 14s for sure. for the Type S that is.

The Si will beat out the base rsx though because of curb weight so look for that. There's no comparison to the type-s though. there's a 40 hp difference there. so eventhough curb weight for the si will be lower the type-s can smoke it no problem
My friend has a type-s and i have another with an si, and the si is slooowww compared to the type-s and the type-s pulled a 14.5 with I/H/E and tires. The SI ran a 16.2 with all the same stuff
this isnt my handle but i have an rsx-s. with a cai/comptech race header/exhaust and also with a slipping clutch and blown shocks i've ran a best of 14.2. i'm pretty sure with a new clutch and new shocks i can hit a 14.0. then again i have motor mounts to which improved my time a little on the launch. but there is tons of potential in a k20a2. an intake and hondata will give you 14.0 potential. gains are minimal for the k20a3 in comparison to an a2

Stock Type-S's can run high 14's and stock si/base's can run high 15's (14.7 and 15.6 respectively, iirc). Note, those are the best times for both, not typical times.
With I/H/E and hondata, a well-driven Type-S can run high 13's and a well-driven Si/base can run high 14's. Again, those are best times, not typical.

Where do you guys get this information? Reading that was like nails on a chalkboard...
{teacher voice} 03civic, before you are allowed to participate in class again, I want you look all the specs on the RSX-S and the Civic Si, then give a report to the class. {/teacher voice}

According to Honda, the Civic SI weighs more than a RSX Type S.
SI: Curb Weight = 2782lbs
Type S: Curb Weight = 2767lbs
Base Manual: Curb Weight = 2694lbs
Base Auto: Curb Weight = 2771lbs
I think those figures are pretty accurate coming from the manufacturer. Do some hw before you try to educate the other members.

If those weights are curb what are the actual? I do believe the rsx-s is like 150- 200lbs heavier grvw than the SI. Check it out....I could very well be wrong. I could be thinking of a civic coupe. They weigh 3400 lbs. Last time I checked, my type-s weighed 3600 grvw.

That's not entirely correct either.
The 02-03 si's were 2744lbs. So those models were actually lighter than the Type-S's. The 04 models were heavier.
The weight order goes something like this:
rsx: Curb Weight = 2694
03 SI: Curb Weight = 2744
rsx-s: Curb Weight = 2767
rsx auto: Curb Weight = 2771
04 SI: Curb Weight = 2782

Its been that way since the 02 si.... there is a 38lb difference between the 02 and 04 si, and that difference can be attibuted to the things like the 5lug wheels, and a couple other parts. but 38 lbs is nothing... its an extra hamburger in your gut, 2 gallons of gas, and a pkg in your trunk. Its not like it beats the RSX by a couple hundred pounds... Especially when an 04 si is HEAVIER than an 04 RSX.

Ok, I get the whole curb wieght thing. What is gross vehical? That's what matters. It's kinda like saying I have 300hp under the hood. WHO CARES! It matters about how much hp is put to the ground. Anyways, you'll never be at curb weight because you'll always have gas in your car plus what ever else you've got on board. So, what is the "real world" weight of the SI and base?
I have a 2003 Si.
With the stock K20A3 + CAI I ran 15.8
With the K20A2 swap + CAI I ran 14.7
Both times were on stock crappy Michelin's.
Basically it's about a full second difference between the 2 engines, given the same car, track, and driver.
