CRX Rally car update...WRX = BAD :(
Well as for the CRX:
In case you don't remember her b4:
http://www.msu.edu/~briggsj7/CRX.html
She's now alive and well minus a new windshield which will be on soon

But notice my already huge wheel gap gone monster-truck style on the WRX in the background:

Could be cuz this is MIA:

Long story short: Cyl 4 is toasted on the WRX and instead of just putting it back together like most ppl might...I HAVE to build up a fully closed deck EJ22T (2.2L turbo) motor.

WRX plan for used EJ22T core:
Link/ Access ECU/ TEC2 or 3 (undecided)
EJ22T balanced/increased diameter cooling holes for 3 and 4
CP forged pistons (8.5:1)
Pauter or Oliver 4340 Chrome-Moly Forged Rods
Stock Piston Oil Squirters
Cometic OR STI gaskets
ARP studs
EJ25 USDM STI crank balanced/polished/treated
Exedy single or twin plate clutch and flywheel
H20 TMIC sprayer
PE 800cc injectors
TGVless housings
Perrin/other fuel rails/lines
(after more $$ is available aka few years ROFL)
Stage 2 valvetrain (Ti retainers, dual spring, shimunder) 9.5k redline
JUN 272 cams
STI Spec C 5spd tranny cryo'd gearsets or other aftermarket
lightened crank pulley (undecided)
FMIC (undecided) in Black
4 nozzle sprayer setup for FMIC
APS SR50/DR55...T3/T4E...GT30...Green turbo (TOTALLY undecided)
...including internal vs. external wastegate decision (undecided of course)
etc. etc.
I've got the plan and a few other ideas but nothing's totally done or engraved yet. So if you have any thoughts/ideas feel free to ramble on!
In the meantime: I'm still looking for:
- CRX 6pt roll cage, chromoly preferred.
- SCCA rally approved seats (non-reclinable, fiberglass, CF, or Kevlar)
I'll post more pics as they come but more $$ is going into the WRX for now
and
... thanks and drive safe!

I'd expect to see this on a WRX forum.
plus, it lacks any tech info. </TD></TR></TABLE>
What does it have to do with CRX's you ask? Well if you were not so illiterate you might realize that this is an update on hiss rally car project and the reasons as to why it Will not be continued for quite some time. Do not think that you are all mighty because you have been here since '02.
No tech info you say? Then what do you call this? Is he inviting us all to a movie? No. He posted here a few months ago letting everyone know that he was going to use a CRX as a rally car. And now he is updating that post. So why don't you come down from that cloud you have been living on and maybe everyone will welcome you back to reality.
Back on topic now: I have been helping Jeremy(WRX34) with his CRX since day one and his WRX blowing up is really a kick in the ******* to all of us because now we have completely switched everything around. His daily driver is now the project and his project is now his daily driver. And believe me it was not fun trying to rush to make the CRX street legal was not too much fun.

How does my "seniority" and my post relate? I appreciate the moronic relationship you made there.
Plus, he showed us two pics of a crx... told us it has no windshield and it needs a 6pt cage and some seats.
then, a plethora of junk about his WRX. So what? I go to I-club for WRX info/updates. I go to HONDA-TECH for... well, Honda technical info. If he wants to describe his steps on the build-up. great.
That's like me posting a picture of my daily driver (which is a nissan), talking about how i'm doing X, Y, and Z... then showing pictures of it.
and at the very end, saying... oh, I washed my CRX today.

so, you're a bitter friend defending his off-topic post. Makes sense.

Illiterate i may be, but certainly not completely inept in the use of the english language
Bottom line. Let's hear Tech. what's being done to the CRX. What class was the CRX to be run? what mods are allowed in said class. Problems faced (outside of the death of the daily driver). I'm kinda curious what class a CRX would do well in, in Rally (i have no clue about rally).

BTW Do you have the cage done in the rex yet? I can't see one but its hard to tell for sure...
