From what i hear, many VW/Audi owners are happy with the Cup Kit. I just thought it was a good deal since Koni Yellows retail for about that much w/out springs.

haha if that really is the setup, then I would have to say that it sucks because that's what I have and I hate it.

Its Koni Yellows specially valved for the included springs. It was also done specifically for the intended car.
Drop is ~2 inches for front and 1.75 Rear.
Spring rates are not available but my understanding is that these springs are higher rates than the Sports but less than the Race.

I just installed the kit. I can tell you I am disappointed with koni or not adding brake line brackets to the front struts.
Aside from that, the install was very easy and took about 3-4 hours (had to compress stocks shocks). First, the front is a little to low for my liking but I can get used to it. The rear is just perfect. I left the shock settings as they came- for now. I took a quick drive down a windy road and i can tell the car handles very nicely. Suspension is tight and most of body roll is gone. (I will be adding a 22mm sway bar kit soon) .
Overall, I am happy with the investment and will soon give impressions on more agressive driving and suspension settings.
This car is my daily driver and weekend autocrosser.
I wil post pics when I get home.

Did you take off the brake line brackets from the stock shocks and put them on the Konis????? If not, you need to get them on there as soon as you have a chance. The brake line bracket helps center the fork to the correct position on the shock, and also helps distribute the weight of the front end of the car around the shock body, instead of making that 14mm pinch bolt in the fork bear the weight of the car, which puts extra stress on that indented part on the shock body where the pinch bolt goes through. Eventually the shock will slip down through the fork, making the front end even lower, and possibly hitting the axle.

Maybe thats why the front is so low. How do I take off the bracket? I tapped it with a hammer and it did not budge.
I just found dome info on the bracket removal. I will try to do this next week.

Yup... adding the brake line bracket will raise the front end up about 3/8-1/2".
The bracket is a pain to remove, get some to hold the shock on a piece of wood while you use a socket wrench extension and hammer to wack the bracket off. Keep working your way around so it doesn't bind.
Wait about 2-3 weeks to get your alignment, enjoy the nice turn-in with the extreme toe-out while you can.

Thanks guys. About the turn in, its very noticeable. The whole car wants to go the direction I point. The car still understeers but not as heavily as before.
Should I get a 19 m sway bar or a 22mm?

Get the 22mm ITR sway bar with your choice of reinforcement kit. Defintely the best mod to the suspension I have done.
Once you get it aligned you toe will be back to zero (if you adjust to spec.), that super duper turn-in feeling will decrease somewhat.
