hello fellow integra owners
i just bought a used 94 gsr with about 145k miles and yesturday my oil light was blinking when i was in the freeway. What happened is that i had no oil left in the car!
I just changed the oil and plugs about a month ago (april 10th)

Other things to keep in mind:
exhaust spits out alot of black crap which gets the back of my car gets dirty fast
I notice that gas mileage is not that great also compared to my 98 gsr and 2k1 itr i had before.

Im thinking a bad cat for the exhaust crap spitting out but im not sure and with the rate of a quart a week of oil i hope its not bad but knowing my luck it is

Can anybody diagnose whats the problem?
If fixable besides rebuilding the engine (not going to do till later at a friends shop)
if its not serious i'm going to go fix the problem now because im low on cash

feedback is appreciated i think it might be serious but i'm not sure so let me know

Are there any oil leaks anywhere?

Sounds also like your car is running rich. How do the plugs look?

 

do a compression test first but.......

......it sounds like the rings are worn.........time for a re-build.

I have the exact same problem but mine isnt a gsr...my car barely starts up and the engine light always turns on and gets into "limp-mode"....it always throws code 04 which is "crank position sensor" which in other words is "you need a new distributor"...
it aint cheap either from what i hear. I eat a quart a week and my exhaust is charcoal black...ive been suspecting fried piston rings but i dont have the cash right now for that kind of job...im debating whether i fix the rings or i wait till i got enough cash for a new engine.

 

from what i see i think there is leaks because of my tegs block vin code is all black because of the oil. I havent had time yet to go to the shop to do compression test because of finals coming up I was just wondering the usual price range for a rebuild?(normal rebuild or built all motor wise)
i haven't asked my friend yet about the price (going to rebuild for all motor) so i'm want to go by a ball park figure.....Currently right now i'm going to install a new radiator because my old one is leaking. i'll try to keep updated with some stuff

as far as it runs it runs perfectly fine and it gets a little better gas mileage after i refilled the oil. plugs look fine but from what i was told when i did my smog test i might have some problem wiht the distrubutor cap. Cause i did barely pass smog (took 4x)
