Default OT: Rev-Matching

Excuse the ignorance; I’m a newbie to the roadracing, (practicing coming up on stoplights, and what not, until I take a class). Is it harder on the tranny to rev-mach without clutching or is that the normal way to do it. I know that is the only way some racers do it, but I don’t want to have to replace a 2k LSD Transmition in my daily driver anytime soon. Thanks.

no its not hard on the tranny, i do it all the time on a frwy downshift. But on the track i always clutch in before blipping the throttle(takes less time), instead of heel toe'n clutching and releasing..
