Melted dipstick!!!
My ITR has a built motor, Hondata, 18G, Greddy Type 24 FMIC, 3'' exhaust.
I had my car tuned and it put down 315whp at 14psi. A couple days later, I blew my cam seals. I fixed that and I fashioned a catch can to exhaust system to vacuum the crankcase and I'm using an edelbrock 5/8'' check valve. All year so far my oil pan has been unsealable. I put two different gaskets on, still leaks, so I tried another gasket and high heat silicone and it still leaks. So now I bought a new gasket and oil pan from Honda and I'll try that.
What can I do? Also my comp is good across the board and my engine builder did a leak down.
Anyone having problems with melted dipsticks?

turbo=higher temps. could be your dipstick problem. and are your sure its the pan gasket and maybe not the front main seal. my friend has a front main seal leak and i swear to god, it looked like an oil pan. there was no oil below the seal, but it was dripping. sure enough, after three pan gaskets, he replaced the front main and that fixed the problem. oh yeah, make sure you don't overtighten the pan gasket bolts, they only need to be between 6-8 foot lbs.

If the block (or engine oil) is getting hot enough to melt the dipstick, rubber seals and gaskets are probably none too happy either.

Search the archives for oil cooler info, there is alot out there.
Are you absolutley positive that it is the oil pan gasket that is leaking? I'd bet that something else is leaking.

Ya the new pan and gasket sealed it up nicely. It's going to be fun while it lasts. My max oil temp is 210 which is what it was last year running 6psi untuned. nevertheless my engine builder is going to design a oil cooling system for my using high quality parts because the one's on the market are cheap and expensive at the same time.
