Pre-Tuning Ideas?
Ok, shortly I am having my block sent to the shop to get resleeved, some forged pistons & rods (84.5/85mm, 12:1, 91 octane), new bearings, hot tanked, balanced, etc. And I am going to be installing it back into the car when I pick up the block probably a week or 2 later.
Now I have a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, RC 440's, aeromotive fpr, cam gears (locking type), and a bunch of other parts, and I am going to install them when the block is in the shop.
My question is...what should I set the settings at? There is going to be no tuning until the motor is broken in, and I want things to run well during the break-in. I am going to be purchasing a hondata and getting it on the dyno right after the break-in. So what should the fuel pressure be at? The ignition timing? The cam timing?
And just for the hell of it...assume this block is going into a totally stock GSR motor, what do you think the whp will be? (literally stock, from the airbox to the header, cat, and muffler)
