i had a similar setup (stock box with a dryer duct going into the fender) and I ran better times than with the AEM. Stock, with just the hose, 15.1 2x in a row.

With the AEM, I could only get a 15.4, and I've hydrolocked it. I'd say the Comptech box is worth it. They make EXTREMELY high quality stuff.

i read on comptech website that i would need the comptech air filter to go with the ice box. anyone use the stock air filter replacement with the icebox? does the ice box connect to the stock intake arm with no problems?

yup.. you can use the stock intake arm in conjunction with the comptech icebox. Im using a drop in K&N filter also. (E-2427) Works perfectly.

Does anyone have the icebox with the SRI from comptech or are you all using the stock intake arm?

I have both the Comptech short ram, and the Ice-box, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the system.

The power is great, very little throttle lag like you see with AEM CAI's, and I really don't worry about hydrolock because of the design. At the same time, don't drive through standing water and you'll be fine with anything , but you get my point.

No complaints here

Jon
