Insurance by season?
Well i'm up in snowy minnesota and i was wondering if the insurance rates would be a little bit cheaper for motorcycle's here rather then places like florida or california where the weather is always nice. I was thinking this because only about 2 out of 4 seasons are rideable...so could that effect insurance rates..?
My insurance said that it would be like $350 for the year...its so cheap becuase in that price they consider only a 6 month riding season + 6 months of storage. Im sure down south its more expensive for the year.
jesus you guys have it nice, i am looking at just over $3,000 a year for full insurance on my new 04 R6. i don't have a choice in the matter, here there is no alternative companies to buy from.

I still don't believe these guys pay under $500 for full coverage, insurance companies would go bankrupt at that. Esp the one kid who is like 19 and said he pays $350 for full coverage. My 51yr old father with a perfect record pays more than that for just liability on a 600.

wow that sucks
what company are you going through? i'm only paying about 250 a year for liability on a yzf600r and i'm 21 with a clean record. but i was quoted $2,300 a year for full coverage

Is bike insurance like car insurance, in that, if the bike is not paid off you are forced to have full coverage? I would assume so, but full coverage on a bike is rediculous.
I am almost tempted to buy a new car, instead of having a bike payment and two insurance payments, That would be one rediulous amount of money a month.
car insurance: 140
Bike payment: 175*
Bike insurance: 250 (1500 for six months)
= 565
Thats rediculous
