450 whp@ 19 psi...finally
Well after all the hard work, and ALL the mishaps...i just made just over 450@19 psi...
we had to stop there because the spring wont let me go any higher. i jsut ordered a new spring and will be going for 5-600whp...
this is in a street car that still has a/c! 93 prelude
let me tell you THIS BITCH IS FAST!
it made 402 on pump gas, and the 450 run was on 5 gal of 110, 3 gal of 93, so around 104 octane.
setup:
h22a1 block
90 mm 9.xx(9.5, but i grinded out the exhaust valve pockets for my valves)endyne rollerwaves
thick cometic head gasket
the thing is the engine has been decked and milled so much i estimate about 10.5+:1(210 psi on compression test)
eagle rods, w/arp 2000 bolts
king bearings
full rotating assembly balanced
balance shafts disconnected
arp main studs
.5mm oversized ferria valves
duel ferria valve springs
ferria tit. retainers
crower stage 2 turbo intake cam
stock exhaust cam
arp headstuds
skunk2 cam gears
stock intake manifold
hondata intake mani. gasket
p72 hondata s100
walbro 255 hp
160# injectors
stock fuel rail and fpr
msd 6a (digi 6 took a crap on me)
clutch master 10# flywheel
act xtream pp, organic disc.
m2b4 jdm lsd tranny
turbo setup:
garret 60-1, t3 .82 a/r turbine, .70 a/r to4s compressor
drag gen 4 mani(sucks for anything under 15 psi)
tial 40 mm wasgate, on elbow to bored gen mani mount
max rev universal 2.25" intercooler piping
spearco intercooler
hks ssq blowoff
ill add more as i remember
15 psi, pump gas, this isnt the final dyno sheet, we cleaned up the a/f ratio:

19 psi 104 octane:

It looks like the second dyno is quite a bit leaner from 3500-5500 rpms. That could explain it.

actually we switched from the a setting to the b setting on the avcr...apperently the solonoid is much more agressive and lets it spool much quicker. i always use b now, just change the amount of boost

yea after these #'s w/ the mixed matched cams(which is why we think its choking at 7500), my goal went from 5 to 600 whp

Dam it looks a little lean coming on to boost

getting a video cam this week. we fixed the a/f, that wasnt the final run, but the #'s were the same.

yeah u might want to make sure you fixed the AFR down low, you are making 350 ft/lbs at like 14:1 afr. you're lucky the motor didnt blow then
other than that, its killer power
ps the reason you are probably building a lot of boost faster now is because the duty cycle on the high boost setting is most likely higher....this keeps the valve closed longer and does not allow the wastegate to start opening
