Default Variations in imported type r's!

Hi Does anyone know if there was a few different variations in the type r. I have a 1997 honda integra type r that was imported from japan four yeares ago. It has no abs, no airbags, no clock even on the dash board. It has a strut brace front and back . The gear shift is shorter and it generally feels faster than other type r's i've been in. I was told there was a race and a road type? Does anyone have an idea? Any help would be excellent!! Cheers

I do not believe there were variations in ITRs unless you're talking of the Integra Type Rx, which was later in the car's life. That one had some other goodies in the car.

Also got a 97 JDM ITR (96Spec)

Also got no ABS,no airbags or clock. I think the rear strut brace is a honda option, not sure about the gear shift though, could be someone put a short shifter on it. The only other real variation apart from the Rx is there is a 4 door option, oh just remembered there are some other differences between the 96Spec and 98Spec cars, 16" wheels rather that 15", bigger brakes, and suspension changes, there maybe a few more but cant remember them at the moment.

I have a 96 JDM ITR also, my car has no ABS/clock/rear wiper/third brake light/SRS (which was only an option in 1996) whereas my friends 96 JDM ITR has all these, i think that in japan they offered this possibly as a light weight option. I also found the double DIM stereo block off laying under the drivers seat so it must have come with no stereo either.

Different final drive, colors (introduced the yellow in 00 I believe).

Have a 96 4 dr and I have the carbon crap, third brake light, ABS .... so the only variations are equipment included/added.
