Default damn im drunk, thinking to myself and maybe u guys can help answer

haha, just got back from the clubs and im just sitting hear wondering what the hell i want to do. i understand this is not tech related, but it does deal with integras so im just giving it a shot.

i would seriously like to turn my car into a real track car. i would love to run turbo, but maintenance and reliability is the greatest factor. i also would like race my car in scca sanctioned events, but i dont really know the rules for how your car should be setup.

i seriously would like to compete in many races, so my question would be, is NA the only option?? i also like to go fast, so i attend strip events too, where my bottle comes in play. can NA and nitrous go together??

this is probably the most dumbest thing ive probably ever wrote, but its 1:30 and im drunk, im just trying to think outloud i guess. i have no idea where to begin with my car. i know i want to turn this car into a track car, with some strip racing. any ideas??

I'm finishing my 3rd Amber Bock after having some 151 earlier.

EDIT: Going to the fridge for a 4th.

you guys type really well for being drunk

some of the other boards that im on....when people type drunk posts it doesnt make sense and the words typed can barely be read.

but your questions is a very good one. my brother just got a 94 gsr and he wants to make it fast (he says to beat my car). i have a awd turbo talon, but the maintenance/reliability is definitely an issue and that's why he wants to go NA. this is my 2nd turbo car (1st was an accord) but the NA cars i've had have been so much easier to maintain. since this turbo has a lot more work done than my accord, it's harder to maintain. basically everytime there is change in weather (even if it's 15 degrees) i have to bust out the wideband and get her tuned right so im not running too rich or too lean......but in the end the turbo is a great power maker....and the sound of the BOV isnt too bad either. since i have the turbo, i dont think ill get rid of it, but if i was building a car, i wouldnt neccessarily think of going turbo.

good luck with your decision....let us know what you are going to do.

If you build it correctly.
Buy the right parts.
Tune it until its perfect.
Drive it like a normal car.

A turbo car can be very reliable. A lot of mistakes are driver/tuner/installation error. There are some very successful turbo honda's. Because they were built right, they knew what they were doing and getting themselves into, and most of all they tuned their cars

all motor and nitrous are fine for the strip. just don't go overboard with your compression ratio. i've got a built gs-r with 199whp on 11:1 cr. i'm also runnin a big shot of nitrous(only at the track). my car is very reliable and i drive it every day. oh, and on the bottle she's perty quick .

I'm thinking for what you want to do a supercharger is in your best interests. Throw some nitrous with that and you have a pretty mean, easy to drive beast.
