My friend has an 01' accord ex coupe with the 3.0 and I was curious when the VTEC kicked in, like at what rpm. Or, is it like that VTEC, when ever you floor it it kicks in? If it seems stupid, sorry but I drive an RSX type-S. I'm trying to find out all that I can about his car. Thanks for any help. Oh, and yes I tried to search but no luck.

 

I am just repeating what I have heard, but I think it is variably depending on percentage of throttle opening.
