2002 EXPO --- Post questions
I am going to have a Q & A page on the Expo site, so please start posting questions that you guys have, and I will generate answers, and post them.
Also, if you have any other comments, concerns, etc. about the Expo, let me hear them.
As far as the registration form, I am waiting to here back on the costs of everything. I am planning on having it ready to go sometime within the month.

ok..i know we all have the competitive spirit..but this is gonna be a friendly event..
i think that was our only problem last expo..people got a little to aggressive..its not a road race...its not timed..lets all just have fun and be safe..you wanna see who is the fastest..join scca or another sanctioning body where all safety precautions are taken to avoid injury from wheel to wheel racing...

Maybe we've just got to go over the flags a little better in a classroom session next time!
Dropspeed -- what type of events will be held at Gingerman next year before the ITREXPO in May (something to get a practice day or two at the track)?

I was not at the last EXPO so I don't know what happened. However with CGI motorsports cordinating the track event, drivers should be divided by experiance. Those of us that have track experiance should know the limits of our cars and be able to drive the cars to there full potential. No, its not door to door racing, but yes it is driving very fast. The problem occurs when people that have little or no track experiance let there egos get them into trouble on the track
Stupidity will not be tolerated at any open track event but at the same time nobody wants to do parade laps.
Mattj.

People with a lot of track experience should know better, and most of them do... but not all.Of course, we're all going to behave ourselves at the ITR Expo 2002 (right?) and have a good time, playing (but playing safe). Besides, it's not like we have to show off that our kind of car is faster than someone else's kind of car...

Aside from their "nobody will pass me" attitude on the track on Saturday despite being so slow in the corners and holding up a train of 6+ cars for half the session until they got black flagged due to a spin and almost collision.

I happen to have that on video tape, as I was behind the two JUN cars, which were behind R-Boosted.
Tough I know but you have to nip it in the bud.

Did you guys have blue/yellow passing flags and dedicated passing areas?
The usual procedure is four wheels off (in the grass/sand) automatic in the pits for qwik underside inspection. 3 spins and out is also fairly standard practice, but it can also be determined case by case.
