Today my car was acting up. I would be driving and every once in awhile it seemed like the motor just stopped for a split second then went back to normal (hiccup). And at idle it would do the same thing. It would also backfire every now and then. and only sometimes the CEL would come on and the motor would die, not right away though. For a couple seconds it would still run. I would give it gas but it just sort of gargled, it's hard to explain. The other thing is that the A/C would not blow cold at all, it was hot. Yes it was pretty hot out, i don't know if that was the cause of all this or not. It was doing similar things yesterday just not as bad.

But tonight when i got off work and started it up, it ran fine. It was a lot cooler out, maybe that helped. But tonight it ran fine, went into boost, pulled hard, didn't hiccup at all. What was wrong earlier? I'm using a P06 w/LS map.

Edit: In case anyone else is having this problem... I switched over to a P75 and the problem went away.

You check the spark plugs?

 

What fuel management are you running? Have you had it tuned? I have read about people that have had issues with the AFC hack when its hot out...

It's doing it again today. I checked my plugs and they are pretty black.

 

my car does the same thing man,
it act like if there is way to much gas in there and not burning it completly... well I run the blue box from greddy right now.

but I got a Hyperduck tunning Turbo chip that i'v tried once and the car was running way better, it's just that I don't want to run the Hyperduck turbo P08 chip all the way since my EGT is not functionnal right now.

Do you got black smoke comming out of the exhauxt on WOT ?? I do, I know that I'm running rich as **** since my exhaust smell unburned gas, it's due to the greddy blue box. maybe you are running rich as **** too??

other than that, it may be your ignition system, check plug, cap, rotor...

Yea, sounds like your running to rich. Same thing with my friends CivicSi, it stutters everynow and then. Even on idle at times.

Get it Tuned. If running to rich.

Also, what injectors are you running? ( If its stock, this can be the problem also )

 

CPR 440's. how come i only seem to have this problem when its hot out though? To check codes, do you have to do it right when the car throws a CEL, or does the ECU store them so you can check them later?

 

boost cut?

i hit this everynow and then .. my hondata tuner tuned it for a 9 psi boost cut.. if the motor for somereason boosts more then 8 psi it will shut themotor off for a split second.. its a safety feature.. i dunno just an idea.

 

nope, not boost cut. It happens at idle, vacuum, part throttle, full throttle, wherever...

 

The code I pulled was 81 What is that? I dont have my Helms around and no place i've found lists what that is...

Yea I already checked there, it's not listed.

 

What is wrong? It only does it when it's pretty warm/hot outside. The hotter it is, the worse it gets.

 

UPDATE

I tried pullin the code again. Before when i did this the Engine light didn't blink, only ABS did so I went by that. But this time the Engine light did it's thing. It showed a 43 which is Fuel supply system. Now what could be wrong to only be causing a problem when it's warm/hot out?
