Default Everyone with CARSOUND CATS !!!

To those of you running JDM headers into a high flow cat (not a straight pipe), have you had any problems with the Check Engine Light coming on even with the O2 sensors re-installed? And how long have you had the high flow cat on there?

Thanks in advance!

The problem I've having is that my check engine light CEL 67 has come on. I've had the secondary O2 sensory welded to the pipe after the cat, and it still comes on. What's even weirder is that I've had the cat on for 3 months now with no CEL, and now all of a sudden it comes on. Any ideas?

Maybe the heat damaged the O2 sensor.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I had the cat on for like 4 months and it just started throwing a CEL. Dunno what the problem is either.

If your throwing a code check the actual O2 sensor wires near the sensor, Ive seen a few where the cat moved enough that the wires came into contact with the OEM Heatshield and grounded it out setting off the CEL
If thats the fact make sure the wires are ok and cut out the 2"x1" piece of heatshield near the O2 sensor.
