Default IS AN 96-98 LX HARNESS SAMETHING AS A CX/DX/EX HARNESS

I JUST BOUGHT AN LX HARNESS FROM SOMEONE ON THIS BOARD AND IT DOESN'T PLUG INTO MY CAR (96 EK HATCH MODEL CX) I WAS WONDERING IF THE LX HARNESS SHOULD JUST PLUG RITE IN AS A REPLACEMENT OR NOT? IF IT SHOULD PLUG RITE IN I COULD HAVE BEEN SCAM

well from your user name i am assuming you have a 94 civic.. if so no it wont plug in .. that is obd1 ... your harness is obd2 .. so it wont work .. you ned a jumper harness.. and the EX harness is different .. it is wired for vtec.. lx harness isnt ..

Edit: i just read something about a 96 cx hatch .. is that the car you have?? if so it is obd2a and your harness should be also..if it is a 96-98 harness.. it should plug into your ecu..

It almost sounds like you do not have an OBD2 harness in your hands.

Some of the ECU connectors on the harness sold to you should plug into your stock ECU.
