1st gen crx rust problems...HELP
i have an 86 crx si. i have the usual rust spots above the rear wheels. i know that i can fix it easily. i have already fixed 4 holes in my floorpan. the new problem that arose is that when i jacked my car up on the jack points, my car started to creak. i let it down and felt underneath. the whole rail on the both sides are starting to rust out. i am afraid that this is the end of the rex. can anyone give me any imput on fixing it? is there a way to reinforce the area?
the same thing happened to my buddy with an 87 dx, except his jack went through his floor. he sanded the rust off, put a screen and putty in the whole, and put undercoating over top of it. i know this is not a good way to fix it, and it will not strengthen it at all. somehow he passed inspection.....
HELP ME!!!
i just got a zc swapped into the car, so junking it will be the last thing on my list.

my 87 dx is the same way... cant jack it up by the jack points.
i dont know a good way to fix that, i just started jacking by the suspension. but if your gonna fix it make sure you take a look at the rear panhard rod mount, mine just ripped out while i was driving. it is somewhat common (i guess) and can be fixed by any reputable welding shop....but my car is so rusty and it was just a winter beater.
if you know anyone who needs anything off of it let me know. its going to the junkyard in about a week. pisses me off cause the damn thing runs like a champ.
