Engine Swap WHich one and how hard?
My friend has an 89 intergra ls and wants to swap the biggest motor w tranny he can without making any major mods ie firewall etc I have no idea about anything honda and would just be doing the work for him. I know depending on what motor he picks he'll need motor mounts, ecu, wiring harness and other little stuff
What would be a not so diffucult swap yet produce more power than the stock motor?

that's an arrogant question. if you've never done an engine swap before, don't try it unless you've read up about and know the basics behind doing one. i can tell you this, wiring will probably be the hardest thing along with coverting your friend's cable clutch to a hydro, cause the bigger motors are mainly hydro clutches.

The biggest problem with early Integra's is that nothing uses the same mounting arrangement, and mounts for swaps are expensive. I know Hasport makes appropriate mounts to put a B series engine in that chassis. The installation of the engine should be as straight forward as it gets, however, you'll need to consider wiring, axles, exhaust manifold fitment, and counless other things. I suggest you call up Hasport and talk to Brian, it's likely that he'll know much more about this than almost anyone else.

why not just swap in a corvette 427? i mean it's just a 4-banger honda, how hard can it be, right?

i just did my first swap last night. wasnt exactly easy, and im glad I didnt go with an h22 for my first swap cause it was still tough to get my engine in, and its a stock engine. Def. do your research first, and yea wiring is a pain, im not digging all my wires out from under the intake manifold and have to cut, solder and lengthen the right side wire harness
I didn't mean to come off arogant But Isay Just a 4 Banger Honda because my Friend and I did A head Gasket Change on a 1991 Supra turbo inline 6 3.0 with no experience whatsoever with the car much less any Jap Car for that Matter And it was succsesful
I don't know if any of you are farmiliar with these cars and engines but compared to a 4 cylinder honda "Just A 4 Banger" isn't that far off
How About turboing It? How much is involved in that?

well how's this sound....i've helped my dad do a frame-off restoration of his '66 289 GT and helped my uncle do a scratch build on a '32 roadster with a SBC.
guess what....your "just a four-banger" jap cars are a totally different job. but i wish you luck. with the attitude you have toward non-domestics (perhaps it's just that you have a limited vernacular, in which case i hope that changes soon for you else you'll continue to look arrogant without meaning to) it's probably needed.

depending what swap into what car it can be alot harder than you think... its not as easy as it is with carberated motors that only have a couple of wires ran to the motor
