Default Can't decide... b18b or b16

ok first of all, yes i have searched.

I will probably be buying a g3 shell soon and I am trying to plan out the cost of everything and what I'm going to do. I am either gonna go with the b18b or b16.
My goals are to have a pretty fast daily driver that i will drive to work and school. I DO plan on going turbo later on... maybe in another year or so. Everyone says the b16 "has no torque" so that is what is stearing me away from the b16. I like low end power but i also love revving to 8500 and hearing that vtec. So is the torque of the b16 really all that bad? And which engine would u recommend for me? Or do you think i should just wait and save for the c1? Do you think it's worth it to pay a lot more for the c1? thanks alot guys

well....what i would do is either get something with sufficient torque, because an integra is heavier than a civic, so the b16 will be tough to drive in it. if you want turbo, b18b is a good choice. personally, i would build a poorman's type r, and then turbo that. (if you dont know what that is it's a b18c block with a b16 head) that would probably run you 1500 put together with everything.

I thought poorman's type r was a b18a or b18b w/ the b16 head... isn't it?

Id say b18/boost. ...I personally don't like the b16 because it's lack of torque..(especially on a teg)
