??? H22s with 17s -------> DROPPING a LUDE ???
I am from the Midwest and the winter is coming up. One of my goals come next spring is to drop my 5th Gen Prelude. I want to drop it with the intentions of putting on 17-inch rims. I want to drop it without rubbing and I don't want it too low because of the snow. If possible can some of you post pics of your 5th generation Prelude w/17inch rims? Im debating somewhere between 1.75 - 2.00. Maybe even 2.25. I want to see the differences in height. Two last questions I have are when lowering the car itself, will it affect the ATTS and will I be needing a camber kit for 1.75 - 2.25 inch drop???

are you guys talking about "real" coilovers, or those really cheap ones for like 250 or something, cause I gotta 4g lude, and I live in the midwest as well, and I'm going to get 17's as well. I however work at a car dealership and have the option of changing my springs if necessary. My question is this: Is it wisest to either a: buy the cheap coilovers and go from there, b: get a set of lowering springs and just change em up every spring/fall, or c: go all out and spend around a grand for the "real" coilovers , and of course keep in mind I have a fairly tight budget.
If you truly are worried about snow then don't even think about 2". Take a good look at the ground clearance of your lower control arm and floor pan is now. The 5G Lude 'looks' higher than it is unless you have a body kit on it. Personally, I say only drive on the plowed streets and slam it 2"!

when it comes to your suspension, you shouldn't even think about getting cheap coilovers. If you end up getting $250 coilvers, who knows, they might snap one day while your driving, then your in even more trouble. My advice is when it comes to suspesion, you should never buy the knockoff cheap stuff.

coilovers are a pain in the *** because you need to get an alignment everytime you change the height. I'll stick with getting some conservative springs.
