Default Q's about clutch set applications

Ok i tried a searching some and i know this has been discussed already so please hold off on the flaming for now and just answer Q's.

Ok a friend of mine is swapping out his 88crx hf motor for a 91crx si d16a6 and needs to know if the clutch kit from his hf will fit on the d16a6 tranny.Plus he is not sure if the # of splines on the axles are the same will they fit too or does he have to buy new axles for his application

axles will fit fine. It's the outboard spline (hub end) that are screwy. Match the clutch to the Trans (88 style).

Ok i dont quite understand what you mean by matching the clutch kit with the tranny. Will it work or not? I've heard that the splines on the input shaft of a hf differ from the si tranny

they will fit but at the other end of the axel... the hub, by the rotor for the brakes that is diffrent. just be easier to get the hubs off an si too.

The 88 has a different spline count then the rest. It's the outcast of the ED/EFs.
