Default Ok, Im done guessing...what springs are they? And a rubbing Q

I bought these springs a long time ago (so I dont have the box) and theyre supposed to be h&r sport springs....however, from the drop that they give me I really think theyre the race springs instead.

so...what's your opinion?

I installed a 205/45/16 tire set the other day and now I rub like crazy...small bumps, big bumbs, turning....rolling down a flat piece of road...
So, if these are, in fact, race springs...would buying a different set of springs, that are less of a drop, help w/ the rubbing or does everyone w/ a 205/45/16 rub and just deal w/ it?

I had 205/40/17 for a long time, I never rubbed... your offset is raped. The rims are no good for you. All that rubbage won't go away under full flex anyways, so like an off camber turn that you take too fast will still rub-a-dub-dub even if you have stock springs in there. Looks like a sagged Sport drop. The race drop is hella low. That does not look hella low.

The drop looks weird too... the fronts are tucked, and there's wheel gap on the back, or is it just the pick? Could they be installed on the wrong ends of the car?

nope, thats how it is...well as far as the fronts being 'tucked' if anything is less than 1cm inside the fender.
They are installed right...I did it myself

ah alright, that clears it up then
they are black springs
but then it should be a 1.75" drop in the front and I know it is more than that

If you bought them used, maybe a coil (or two) has been cut off for more of a drop in the front?

either your springs are settled too much for 16's, or you should get coil overs, which would give you new springs anyways. nice ride too

I ran H & R Race springs on Tokico illuminas on 2 different sets of 205/40/16's and 1 set of 205/45/16 and I never got any rubbage. The Race springs are yellow are they not? I got the Neuspeed ones now and they are yellow too. I was told that H & R made the springs for Neuspeed. As for the pic. I think you either may have put together the spring and strut together improperly (bump stops)!? Or the springs may be reversed or cut.
