i have about 100 miles on my clutch right how half highway and half city. gonna be drag racin gthis sunday. by then i should have about 200 miles on it. id that suffiecient.

is it still in the car? what kinda disk? i wonder if it shortens its life

 

i always tell customers to put in a good 200 miles to break it in.. but in our cars i guess a good 50 miles or so. or one night out on the town..

 

breaking in a clutch is real easy just drop the clutch at around 8'000 rpm on slicks and your broken in.

 

soon as i went to pick my **** up from the shop, me and my homie hopped on the freeway and went at it

exedy organic clutch + 9lb flywheel

 

I always put about 400 mi., probably overkill but I tried to get 200mi. city and 200mi. highway.

 

so you guys who replied. ceramic or organic disks?

 

with organic discs, I usually tell people to wait until you have roughly 500 miles on it before you do full out clutch drops at the track.

how many miles do you have with it?

 

i alway's tell my customers 500 miles of city driving.

 

after i did my clutch on my rx, i went out drove around for alittle bit..got the feel...then did a crazy burnout to make sure my clutch is good

 

i have an action 6-puck. i just drove around the block, went thru gears 1-5, make sure everything was okay. then i got on it, so for me, not even a mile. i have now about 3ooo miles on the clutch or so and everythings just fine.

 

i didnt break my somp 6 puck in what so every

 

I have about 400 miles on my Exedy organic so far. I'm probably going to keep it cool til I'm over 500.

 

i have an act six puck w/ heavy duty and I just took it to the races and launched at 8k to break it in. drives fine now

 

if its a puck style clutch, put it on and drive around the block a few times and on the 3rd lap.. PUNCH IT.. there is no break in for those things.. your wasting valued time.. GO DO IT...

That is what I think is the best for performance and clutch life

 

i pulled out of the shop, and the first thing i did was reved it and dropped it, going on 2000miles, and its still great

 

i put about 50 feet on my clutches before i drop it
