I need to get some machine work done, anyone know of a Quality, reputable, machine shop within driving distance of the Pittsburgh, Pa. area? Especially one who has some import/honda knowledge and maybe some expiercence in ls/vtec..b20vtec conversions?

 

The only place that i know of around here with a torque plate is Jett racing in Jennerstown. Thats the dude that did my block and keith hiracks b20.

Keiths fucked up, but mines still fine. It took the guy forever though i wouldnt reccommend him.

There is a place in New Alexandria that i think may also have a torque plate for b-series its called Powerhouse Performance. I'm not totally sure on that one.

I had work done by P+R in greesnburg too, just simple stuff like micropolish and inspect the crank, and bore my mains because my crank locked up when i put on the z-10 block girdle.

As far as ls/vtec stuff i dont know any shops doing that, I did it myself but really its not too hard to do. Talk to Denis Howell he can order u up the oil passage plug, and the lines. If u look at pictures u can figure out what to do or just take the pics to a machine shop and they can handle it.

 

you might wanna try carquest in monroeville i know i used to work for A&L motors the BMW dealership and we sent a lot of our machine work to those guys and they always hooked us up.. he shaved the head of my d16z6 and did some other work to it and did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price.
