Default hydrolock.... i just sucked up water in my intake :(

we'll i think i just killed my engine its flooding around and i got caught in traffic in deep water and had no choice but to keep going. so i went a lil faster to keep water from getting inside and then all of the sudden it died. i coasted into a parking lot and checked my filter, it was soaked. then i removed the intake pipe and water poured out!!! does the engine hydrolock everytime or is there a chance that i amy be able save it?? this really sucks assssssssssssssssssss.. ijust put $1300 into my head and have new suspension sittin in my room . i also had dyno time scheduled and was about to put an safc on with n2o. so i guess all that is down the drain now

the only thing i can think that will solve this is oh yea and som more

Hey man, sorry to hear that.

Try taking out your spark plugs and turn the engine over to get the water out.

I hope that you are able to salvage your motor.

Good luck.

I had the same problem, with my lude, damn AEM's ground hugging intake , just kidding. I coasted into a parking lot, cranked it over, and put da dut put Vrooom all was ok. I would say if anything would happen it already has, Sucking cold water into a hot head cant be good. But... 10k later my car runs great.
If you havent tried restarting it yet, when you do restart it, I would definately change the oil, to see if any got past. If you have the car at your place now, You might pull the plugs and see if you can suck any water out, or see it. If it hasn't leaked down.

These are just a few ideas, I hope they help, sorry bro I have been there. Good Luck

I did that once. Going through a storm and CAI stucked up alot of water. I let the car sit for about 30 minutes and then it started right up.
