Default Where to buy aftermarkt tie rod ends/bushings?

Where can I pick up some poly tie rod bushings @? Has anyone noticed a big difference in wheel hop when installing them? I think mine are just plain worn out some Im going to replace them cause I get high speed wandering and I herd that was a symptom of bad tie rod ends. tia

Poly tie rod bushings eh? Where do those go exactly? I got replacement outer tie rod ends with new ball joints at a local auto parts dealer for like $11 each. i dont know what bushings you're talkin about...

Yeah outer tie rod bushings I guess they are called. I was unsure of the proper name for them. What store did you pick them up from and how hard are they to replace? you just unbolt the tie rod take the old ones out and then put the new ones in right? Does that affect your alignment? The reason Im thinkin these need to be replaced is because my car wanders and shakes, this has been linked to bad outer tie rod bushings. thanks

I think you are referring to the outer tie rod ball joints, not bushings. But yea i got mine from a parts place called Clarks but u can go to any Kragen, Autozone, Pepboys etc and purchase them there. I have yet to find any place that can beat Clarks prices though. The new part consists of a new outer tie rod with new ball joint and boot installed. It even came with a new nut and cotter pin. It will probably affect your alignment when u install new tie rods. The best thing you can do is mark the original position of the old one (how far it was screwed in) and just reinstall the new to that mark. Then go get your front toe set at an alignment shop.
