Ok heres the problem. I have a 88 CRX dx stock with the 1.5 DPFI. The car recently failed emmissions for too much heat in the lower combustion chamber. I think more specifically NOx. The car has 144k miles on it and when I rev it past 5grand in any gear the tach just sticks at 5g and jumps to 6g a second later. The car basically revs them jumps in revs. I know im getting fuel so now I think that it might be ignition related. The car was suppose to have had a tune up b4 I brought it around 131k about a month and some change ago. Question is what could it be? The car has some blue non-stock looking plug wires. I gotta go check my spark plugs to see if one of them might be faulty. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

 

If i was u i would get a new engine . Get a DOHC ZC for like $650. But thats just me.
