i wanna do 5 lug conversion to my gsr... found a site brand new the hubs are 145$ each for the rear and 99$ each for the front so thats a total of 500$ roughly for a 5 lug conversion and then have to spend a good 200$ for slotted rotors for 5 lug will this work though???? sounds like a good idea =D but is it doable?

 

Plus calipers...

 

i know that the fronts will work

but you also need
caliper
brake pads
rotor
extra lug nut
new wheels
new wheel bearings

all that adds up quick

 

are the calipers bigger? i m sorry i searced through 10 pages and didnt find a article on this well i need new rotors for my 4x100 anyways so hehe are the itr calipers bigger? maybe i could trade em at autozone with my gsr cores =D hehehehe

 

GSR calipers aren't going to clear type R rotors.

You're doing the R 5 lug conversion for it's brakes right?

Ooop's maybe not, you're a looks guy then? If so I can figure out better ways to spend your money.

 

you dont need itr calipers if you are using stock gsr rotors. just get the gsr rotors redrilled to 5x114 pcd. that way you can keep stock gsr calipers. but i would do this ie hub exchange only if you are getting itr brakes not just to be five lug. i heard you can do the hub exchange just for the fronts. i dont know if the rear is the same.

Which is entirely a waste of time. And yes I noticed you mentioned something along those lines.

Ahh ohh looks for the summer... Are the 5 lug choices That much better?

Does anyone think that regardless of doing this for the 5 lug look purely, that they will NEED to get their rotors drilled Every Friggen Time they need to get new ones?

Oh, yeah that won't be a big deal, since they won't be going throught rotors very often.

Still a waste of time and money though imo.

 

hey 1greyteg do you know if the rears will work? i was going to do this and piece my conversion later. get the hubs and itr rears with either legend fronts or nsx fronts. but dont know if the rear hubs will work.

Why are you changing for 4 lug to 5 lug ?

 

want it for 5 lug hehe i was gonna convert for my integra then put on my ctr shell... id rather buy a 5 lug conversion now hehe so its cool... i figured what ima do =D sell my velox get look alike gabs(rota) in red hehe and 5 lug on the CTR with gunmetal stocks =D thanks anyways guys

 

i did 5-lug on a 95 si, fronts and rears work. all you need for the rear is the hub assembly, it bolts right up to the trailing arm.

 

not aloud to instant yet, i used the type r calipers and rotors
