K&N Ouch !!!!
Ok, went to advance today to replaced the **** filter on my APC intake. They didn't have any 3" filters in stock so I asked him to look it up. The Xtreme tapered K&N filter that fits is $67. That's damn near how much the whole APieCeofshit intake cost me. OUCH. I know it prolly worth it but does anyone know where I can find it for cheaper. Maybe online somewhere.

Wrongo. Until someone tests one of the filters off of Ebay that is reusable (which I don't even know if they have) and it tests out the same, pay the money for the K&N. It's resuable so you never have to buy another, so why sweat over 67 dolalrs?

but id say get a blitz intake. I got a real blitz intake for 40 dollars, and they too are reuable, and i am very pleased with it.

Because it's just a tube. Prove to me that the APC tube does anyting other than the K&N tube and I'll give you a title of your choice. The only difference is the size on some of the intakes.

I had a cheap 8.99 filter K&N ebay knock off and it worked great. If it does its job which is filtering...I dont see the need to pay 67 vs 9 bucks. What is wrong with the filter you have now....

Wrong? What am I wrong about? I am well aware of the advantages of the K&N filter in a performance as well as craftsmanship stand point.
Some people are cheap and have to find out the hard way. Just as someone else said the "eGay filters" are cheaply made fall apart and come unglued from the baseplate. This guy obviously wants to find out the hard way, not me. You get what you pay for.

dude, get an apex'i power filter intake kit! It's also, more than just a filter, it comes with a metal tube, brackets and screws and it goes into your stock intake arm! I got mine for 60 bucks and it has been proved to be one of the best filters on the market! Apex'i!

i bought a used K&N for $20 on tuesday. It was dirty as hell, but after I used the K&N recharge/cleaning kit, the thing looks like new. As for K&N quality... it is the best. You get what you pay for. If you get a chance to buy a used one, do it. I would rather have a slightly used K&N then any other filter available.

exactly, and with a little modifacton, you can have them making even more power then an AEM. Buy some insulation wrap and put it over the Ebay one, and you'll block more heat then the ceramic coated ones of AEM. True its no Comptech Icebox but it does make the exact same power as the AEM intakes. It is just a pipe.
