Default Where do i get power for Fan?

88 crx with D16 i think most of the harness has been changed. The fan was hooked up direct from key on. I want to go back and change it to the sender like it should be. Where is the sender ? I looked at the Haynes manual and it looks like the factory one was on the Radiator? Is it the same on a 96 HX what the motor came out of. Or on the 96 was the sender somewhere else
Thanks

There is a thermo switch on the back of the engine near the oil filter. It provides the ground for the fan circuit when it closes. Positive power is switched and fused.
