Default 96-00 Civic Rear Swaybar endlinks. Idea and question.

Since the 99-00 Civic Si rear swaybar endlinks are just stupid expensive even at wholesale costs, I was wondering if anyone has tried a heim joint setup back there, such as somethign like this:

A few SS bolts and the joints adjusted to length, and you should have swaybar endlinks for about $40, or half the cost of the oem stuff.

If anyone has come up with any other solutions, I'd like to hear them.

yeah, it's a viable setup if you feel like having squeaks and rattles all the time and replacing those endlinks yearly. Apparently they wear out pretty quick. But yes, tis a possibility. Many aftermarket units are like this.

I don't think they'd wear too quickly with a swaybar like the oem 15mm Si rear swaybar. As far as squeaking--how would they squeak? The oem stuff is a fixed design too and other swaybars that use this setup don't really squeak from what I've heard.

Just pack them in grease and that would take care of most of the problems.

Does anyone know how long the oem Si endlinks are? That would give me a good basis for what to order.

Ok, gives me a range to shoot for. If anyone knows exactly, let me know.

I'm going to check a few places to see if I can find some heim joints. I think there might be a hardware store close to me that has some. I'll post up the DIY if I can make it work.
