Default 97 DX with 27xxx Miles Worth?

Getting ready to purchase a vehicle and I think H-T is the place to give you the no bullshit answers so here it goes.

97 DX Hatch
Red
27,xxx miles
scrapes on the front bumper
they are putting a new stock muffler on
PS/AC
Automatic - I will swap this out so dont flame me.
Interior is borderline perfect, no door dings.

If an adult was the previous owner even better. How much are they selling it for?

5800 out the door with tax and title.

I believe it was on trade from an adult.

no mods anywhere or they hid them really well.

I completely disagree. It is not that difficult. I know a number of people that have done them in my area alone.

i agree that its kinda a waste...more money out the door to swap it. it cost me 1200 with me and a guy helping me do labor. then i had to shell out another 300 for clutch later cuz i ran outta money. it was my only car and i couldnt sell it at the time, so i had no choice but to convert it to 5spd. i just bought a new car and as hard as it was for me to wait to find a deal, i did it. i didnt wanna swap another car to 5spd. just get a 5spd hatch to begin with and get it from a private owner. you can find one for 3000+ depending on mileage. since your obviously gonna swap motors most likely, just get a high mileage one to lower the cost of the car and then swap away(motors that is!!).
