will a JDM(H4H) HID kit ever be made?
will a JDM(H4H) HID kit ever be made? You'd think they would have a kit for this for sale in Jp or something. Does anyone have any inside in this or is getting HID in my DB2 w/ JDM lights going to be quite a project? Any and all answers appreciated

They probably don't care as much about bling blang HID's in Japan as we do here. Hell cars don't even use their headlights in the city, because there's so much light all around. That's why Japanese cars have city lights, meant to make the car visible at night to other people and other cars, but not light up the road, because it's not necessary.
well, if thats a good point then how come they made type R HID stock in japan??
at least from reading around here, people have bought jdm type R front clips w/ HID. maybe im mistaken.
but an h4h hid kit would sell pretty good i think. lots of g2 owners have the jdm lights, but ive also read that the jdm lights arent good for hids because they are not projector housings or something like that.

I didn't say that NO cars came w/ HID, I just said they probably don't care about it as much, and there probably isn't as much of a market for aftermarket HID as there is here. Look at the S2000 for instance, in Japan, HID was NOT standard. It came standard w/ halogen projectors, and HID was an option if you wanted to pay more money.
I highly doubt that the market in this country for an aftermarket HID bulb made to fit only a JDM application is enough to justify the R&D needed to produce such a kit.
If you don't even see the actual halogen H4H bulbs for sale in this country, chances are you're not going to see an HID version of that same bulb anytime soon.

There are many cars that have HID that don't have projectors. But i guess the only market they would have is the car modding people. But still it's not that much more R&D to make an H4 kit to be H4H instead. I do CAD everyday in college so i know a thing or two about R&D....
