then you don't need a "good" tire, you need a snow tire. theres no point in having a good tire if you cant use it in the first place.

I had H rated directional 195//60-14 Nakang tires. I've autocrossed in them too. Good tire for the money IMHO.

EDIT: Don't know about snow though.

Thanks so much for your thoughts! You are a genius!

Again, can anyone reccomend a good ALL AROUND/SEASON TIRE?

Anyone use the Yoko Avid S/T?

All Season - Kumho HP4 716 from http://www.tirerack.com

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...1=yes

Do not judge them by the price. Read the reviews and ratings.

They are great daily driver tires, do not try to race with them. I've had them in light snow, roads covered in snow, light rain, downpours, dry pavement. They held fine in all conditions. I highly recommend them.

I'm in Indiana, so I know the feeling of needing all seasons. If NJ is anything like IN, you do not want a snow tire. One week in the winter it will be a blizzard. The next it will be 50 and dry.
