Default Advice on power please

I have a 92 civic lx and I've done the usual intake and exhaust but now I'm interested in building more power that I'll really be able to feel. Where should I start and does doing small things like grounding kits etc. really help? Should I go into cams or port and polish my head? What should I do? Thanks for your help ahead of time!

the only effort that should be put into a d series is pulling it out!

Getting the best power out of a D is in the head. But maybe consider starting out with a better base D-series like the d16z6. Can be found for not too much. And the mini-me would be a good candidate. Most of the power in the D-series is in the head. So a good port and polish and a cam would do you well.
