There has been no news or indication that a type R version of the RSX will be hitting our shores.

no one is going to pay 27+ for a type r when they can get a wrx for almost the same price

I strongly disagree... The WRX, IMNSHO, is one UGLY car... and its a 4 door. There are many reasons to want a Type-R over a WRX, so just cuz you don't want one doesn't mean there isn't a market...

well I dunno if I would pay 27k for a type-r when can get better cars like evo, 350k for around the same price tag. I also dont think the type-r will be any time soon. A couple months ago i remember reading in a magazine about the civic type-r coming over here? is that still going to happend? or is it just another rumor.

The A-spec is a little more then 27 and people are still buying it, sales would be huge on a Type R, so many people want them. I would love one!!

yeah... the thing is is that the R means true racing for anyone who knows anything about imports. It'd be a small step for whoseever buying it, but a huge leap for mankind, er, the US.

i dunno about you, but i would buy a 350z even though I love hondas. there's only so much i'm willing to pay for a car.

and if it was 27k that would cause honda to mark up their s2000 prices.

Why would it mark up the S2000 prices? Here in Japan the ITR goes for like 3,000,000yen out the door and the S2000 is like 4,100,000yen. The sticker on the window is like 2,590,000 and 3,675,000 respectively. The current exchange rate is like 110yen/$1. Do the math and that is $27,272 and $37,272. Isn't that about what the S2000 is selling for in the states out the door?

Im just curious as to what the drive is like on the DC5R. Is it completley different than the Type S? I know that going from a GSR to an R was a big difference.

A-Spec is just another way of dealers getting more money. The people that buy them have no idea of what to do to their cars.

In reply to the WRX being ugly.

To each has its own. I thought the STI was ugly until I picked up a 04 WRX. The looks grow on you and you get noticed more because WRX's are rare compared to Integras.

Bringing a Civic Type R is more of a waste for Honda. The current SI's don't even sell.

The current SI's go for 18-19k. The CTR would have to be marketed at 20-23k. I do not think people would buy a $20,000 Civic. I'm sure it is a fine tuned machine, it's just that I dont think people are going to want to buy a suped up Civic when they can buy a regular Civic and drop a motor in it. Think of the VW R32.
