where does it go, my friend does not have one in his 96 dx, he told me no ek comes with one, I searched and i see them for sale so they must be in there somewhere but where do they go. thx

 

the ashtray is attached to the cigarette lighter panel

 

i think it was an option on some cars. you can probably buy the panel from the honda dealer which includes the cig. lighter socket and the ashtray. or you could just get an ashtray that fits into the cupholders..

 

kind of hard to see in this picture but i have it in my car. it is right under the a/c controls. you can get from handaaccessories.com but last time i checked its only in light gray that they have left.

yes, the ashtray lights up when you open it. it's connected with your headlights so they have to be on for it to light up.

i got mine for $25 brand new from a dealership in sac. they are discontinued so good luck finding one now.

 

i got one off of ebay, it was light grey though

everything is plug and play. it sould come supplied with a harness thay u just plug into ur fuse board and then plug it into the actual ashtray. very simple. pretty much like how the OEM foglights hook up. optional OEM **** is the easiest to install. my only gripe is the lighter hole doesnt glow like the integra ones.
