Default Intake popularity

Which intake did you choose for you ride? Was it for performance or just the look?

Some cheap 2 piece that you could get at any import shop. I think its a Type X or some ****. I got it because 1. its cheap, and 2 its 2 pieces so when it rains its a short ram.

APC Short ram: Oh yeah, flame on !
I figured hell, I don't think anybody could **** up a filter on a stick.
Plus, it's cheap.
BTW, planning to change filter to K&N ASAP

Sorry I started the forum and I didn't even say what my own was. I have a AC short ram. I found out that it breathes better than AEM's short ram intake and for a lot cheaper. In fact I think AEM makes AC. Not sure about that fact though. What is a fact though is that I got 7 whp with that bolt-on. Not what I was expecting for such a cheap add-on but I'm not going to complain.

Hmmm, do you see a flaw in this? If AEM did make the AC intake, why would they make it flow better than their own labeled product? If anything, it would flow the same. It's like Honda designing the Chevy Cobalt's engine but making it more durable and reliable than a Honda-badged engine. Usually doesn't work that way.

And I use an ICEMAN intake because it's a two-piece, and I was able to buy it in black. I didn't want any flashy blue piping or anything. It was also fairly cheap.

Because it was better to me than my stock airbox. Look pretty nice in the engine bay as well. Oh and also you gave same power to the ol' motor.
