Well, so I did my grille just like in the DIY and it looks really good. the only thing I'm concerned w/ is has anybody painted their hood latch black? Cause mines silver and is really visible through the grille now. Just wondering if anybody's painted it.

 

i did my own grill too, and yeah you can see the latch... either put an emblem in there, paint it, or leave it... i left mine... i used little mesh but you can still see it..

 

The real CTR grill has that black piece that covers the latch.

And the Si grill's mesh is thick so its hardly noticeable.

You can either rip it all apart and paint it black, or learn to live with it.

I think I'll just fashion something to cover it w/ some old black plastic I have laying around. drill holes so I can bolt it where the latch bolts. It'd prolly be easier than sanding, prepping, painting.

Oh, and didn't know that about the CTR. Good Word

 

I just checked mine, and it's not very noticable unless you bend down and look for it...now that you brought it up, though...I might paint it black just for poops'n'giggles.
