Default Differences in type s model of other countries

I don' know what other countries have the dc5 which is the same as the US one (Europe, Canada...)but my question is if I were to get a type s ecu from a canadian type s or other country would I have any problems using it on my american type S? Thanks.

emissions might be a problem if its a problem for you

You would need immobilizer and key to use different ecu.
ECU has nothing relates to emission.
