:-/ Cuz I'm down to my last penny and I dont even have money for dyno tune but I still think with the maps I've got on it now, they would be good enough to make it run good, and I still run 9.9 in the 1/8th in a car that weighs 2100 lbs. :-(

I can help you out with a base map and stuff.

Get a J's intake or knock off since that is the best bang for the buck.

Uncle sam gave me dyno money today. lol (read my location haha)

Anyhoo, week after next is gonna be my baby's first dyno session ;-)

What do you guys think about a catalytic converter that's seen 150,000 miles and 4000 miles of it were filled with rich condition and Oil burning due to a busted PCV valve? Carbon all over the place in the exhaust ports and all, along with some liquid oil one time when I changed headers.

LMK what everyone thinks.

Hmm. Doesn't sound like your motor is healthy.

LOL. If its one thing I miss, its those 1st and 15th of the month paychecks. And the tax-free checks when you deploy. I was in the Air Force for 8 years as a loadmaster on C-130s.

Sorry for the off-topic tangent.

cool,

I'm AFIN (auto-flight + Instruments) (a.k.a GAC [Guidance and Controls]) on C-17s in Charleston, SC.

...Taking out the Cat Sunday morning and putting in a testpipe, hopefully done in time to give it a shot on the track unless it makes me run uber lean or something.

Cat gone, GSR cams in... O2 Sensor left the building. :-( Now my A/F gauge stays on RICH the whole time, Datalogger agrees. :-(

When it's cold, it feels damn good though... I have a stock GSR map in there and it feels lovely before VTEC... I'm gonna play a little with it though because GSR intake manifold is way diff that b16 so u know... Just waiting on o2 and dyno time.

Anyhow, from B16 cams to GSR ones, it's like night and day... I cant keep traction in 1st gear now when I floor it... which is always a good feeling. lol.

You should get some Skunk2 Stage 2s/JUN Stage 3s/Toda Spec Bs when your cash allows I say. Get the full potential out of those pistons man. Good to see you picked up some better cams though.

Haha, yea I know... Thanks.

Another question people can ask, it's prolly a newb question but what about this b16a1 head... I can get my hands on a b16a3 one for $250.00 that is unmolested... Raced a lot but the motor was in it's stock form. (friend of mine)

Anyhow, I heard the b16a1 head doesnt flow well... sucks, etc. etc. I know the LMAs are smaller and read up about that, when I get bigger cams I'll do it... I already have nice valvesprings/retainers waiting.

Let me know your opinions on the b16a1 head as far as being on top of a 1.8 High Compression block

I would just stick with what you have. Your $250 would be better spent either improving your stock head or towards some better cams, IMO
