I have a 89 CRX and I am trying to get it painted (the same color) . the first place I went to is called Custom Collision and it looked like a really really nice place, of course they really didnt want to show me the time of day, but they had to give me an estimate. as soon as i came thru the doors they talked to me like well do you know about maaco?? yes I do but i want to get a nice job done. give me a break. Im not as broke as they might think. anyways they gave me an estimate for $1635. I only have two small dents and the right side of the rear bumper doesnt line up the with tail lights very well. Does this estimate sound like a good deal?? or no?? ( they said they would taking off the headlights and tail lights etc.)

(do you think they would charge a lot extra to paint the side moldings??)

 

sounds like they probably only want to deal with insurance claims.. i say don't deal with them if they treat u like crap.. chances are they'll also treat u like that during and after the job is done...

my body shop charges $500 for each bumper just to be repainted.. and i dont mind because they do an awesome job.. u get what u pay for.. shop around and see what other offers u get.. also while you are there take time to look at their finished cars on the lot..

 

dat sounds like an awesome deal, but like SonicBlueTeg said, dont go there if they are gonna treat you like crap.

They may not even do a good job on your car, cause they think you dont know anything.
